BONNYBRIDGE ST HELEN'S ALPHA COURSE

WHAT IS THE ALPHA COURSE?Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over 12 thought-provoking weekly sessions, and one Saturday over lunch.Alpha is for people searching for answers to questions about life: Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? What happens when I die?Answers are offered in a fun, relaxed way through the Alpha Course. The Bonnybridge St Helen's Alpha Program always begins with a free Alpha Supper. It is open to members or those who are not members, but being an evening event little children cannot be catered for.During the supper you will be told a bit about the course and shown a short entertaining video. You are under no obligation to do the course after the supper, but there will be an invitation extended to attend the first course and you will be invited to the 12 weekly courses that follow. The course is presented through videos and involves exploring the basics of the Christian faith in a way that is low-key, non-threatening, and unpressurised. Questions like "Who is Jesus?" "Why did he die?" "Who is the Holy Spirit? are addressed. You will get ample opportunity to ask questions or interact with the ideas of others in small groups, should you wish to. The course is absolutely free. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend or family member to the church to find out more about the Christian faith and to experience something of the fellowship life of the church in a friendly, welcoming environment. At the same time it will certainly grow and strengthen you own walk with the Lord, even if you have been a member for many years.
